May Newsletter: SDP Shows with WYOmericana Caravan, short film & new video

HEY, it’s MAY! For most of you this means sunny, warm days and spring flowers. Here in Wyom it means wet snow days and Mud Season with a distant hope of that thing we love so much…summer!We’ve been hunkered down in the studio for the last three weeks, recording what will be Album #3. Can’t wait to share this sizzling batch of songs with you. All we can say for now is...we've been tracking chains. More details about release date and pre-order next month…In our sights, we have the most aggressive tour schedule that we’ve ever embarked on. Good thing we have a bunch of friends coming along for the ride! The WYOmericana Caravan is truly Screen Door Porch’s labor of love. We spend half of the year planning for the next three weeks, and we think this run of shows is going to be pretty damn special. Thanks for telling every soul you know in these Rocky Mountain towns – the grassroots effort has really helped propel this 12-person machine.

WYOMERICANA – the documentary

A finalist in the Wyoming Short Film Contest, we recently watched WYOMERICANA on the big screen at Jackson Hole Center for the Arts. Square State Film & BHP Imaging will premiere the long version of the film Tuesday, May 20 at the Cheyenne International Film Fest. The film documents the 2013 WYOmericana Caravan Tour and captures great moments on and off stage. Watch the 16-minute short version now on YouTube.
